Margins is going on a month-long hiatus!
Thank you for stopping by! Margins is a youth run online zine, consisting of mostly people of color. Margins is going on a hiatus for the month of April, because we will be accepting submissions for monthly contributors ONLY! We are trying to expand our scope, and we want a lot of people on board. Read more below!
♦ How to apply to be on the Margins team ♦
Potential staff members are in great demand for us at the moment. We want to expand the voice of Margins, we need your help, we really want you! Non-binary and transgender women of color are EXTREMELY encouraged to apply.
If accepted, you will be expected to contribute/edit work every month. Every month, a new theme will be provided and artists and writers will contribute for that month, while editors will read over written content. We work and communicate primarily though Gmail and Google Docs. Written content does not have to be tailored specifically to the assigned theme.
We are currently open to editors, submission readers, artists, and writers! Tell us about yourself! Include the staff member position you are applying for and attach four to six samples of your best work (NOTE: editors and submission readers need to include diverse samples of their own written work or include instances where they have been an editor or submission reader–this is important, as you will be reading over poetry, fiction, and articles). Send your applications to firstname.lastname@example.org. In the subject line, put “New Staff Member, -position you’re applying for-.” No compensation can be made at the moment.
Deadline to apply is MAY 4TH!
We can’t wait to hear from you!
